Any Student interested in Dual Enrollment this fall need to sign up in the library. Mentors will be here this Thursday. 2. The Beaverton Football Video Game Tournament and Breakfast takes place on Sunday, April 10, from 2pm-5pm, at BHS. Cost is $5. (Please note the time change - we're still having breakfast.) The coaches will provide the TVs and food. You bring your game systems and favorite games (don’t forget your cords and batteries). Hope to see everyone there. 3. Yearbook club photos will take place during 5th hour in the gym on Monday, April 11th. Students will return to class once their club photos have been taken. Teachers will receive rosters indicating which students are in which clubs. All students involved in clubs at Beaverton will be dismissed to the gym by announcement at the beginning of 5th hour on Monday. Please see the printed schedule that is posted in the Announcement cabinets in the main hallway also view it on the Google slide show playing on the TV’s in the cafeteria and hallways. It will also be posted on the gym doors. 4. 8th - 11th grade students: The PSAT and SAT assessments will be administered next Wednesday, April, 13th. 5. Attention Senior students: Next week state testing begins. Seniors will NOT be required to report on Wednesday, April 13th. It is highly recommended that you conduct college visits, meet with a military recruiter or begin applying for jobs on this day. Attention Students and Families, The state of Michigan requires spring, summative assessments each year. These assessments will begin on April 13th, 2022. Mrs. Sprague’s 9th grade science classes wrapped up their project on cells! They provided a “cell factory tour” to explain to our younger students how the cell is like a factory. It was a fun filled day for sure! Great job 9th graders!

Beaverton and Gladwin students met on Friday at the Beaverton Activity Center as part of Gladwin County Youth Leadership. They had a tour of the facility and learned about economic development in local communities.

What a great night of entertainment last evening at the Beaverton Jr/Sr High School Madrical. All of the students who participated in the dinner theater event did an excellent job. It was very entertaining. Thank you to Mrs. Kintner and all the volunteers who made this event a success. One last performance tonight at 6pm at the BAC.

Mrs. Sprague’s anatomy class just finished up an intense unit in blood and the cardiovascular system. It included learning CPR, dissecting pig hearts, a guest from EMS on heart attacks and finally a guest from Versiti for blood donation 101! We learned a lot!

Congratulations to Alexis Grove, Cadence Augustine and Taylor Newman who were all honored this weekend by the Michigan Wild Turkey Hunters Association-North Central Chapter. Each student earned a $500 scholarship! Way to go, ladies!! GO BEAVERS!
