Beaverton Jr/Sr High School held a job fair today. Local businesses were invited to the school and students were able to fill out applications, provided resumes and even interview on the spot. Thank you to our Career Navigator, Misty Johnson, for helping organize this event. What a great opportunity for our students and local businesses.

Softball played in Dow Tournament today and lost to Anchor Bay 11-1, Beat Kingsley 11-4 and beat Birch Run 9-4. GO RED!

Last night, our baseball & softball team began their conference season: Baseball beat Farwell 1-0 and 14-3. Softball beat Farwell 11-2 in the first game and lost 7-2 in the second game. Softball plays at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning in the Dow Tournament. Conference play resumes next Tuesday when varsity heads to Shepherd and JV softball hosts Shepherd. GO RED!

The track team competed at Gladwin Wednesday night against Gladwin, Tawas, and Ogemaw Heights. Congratulations to the BJSH students who placed at the Spring Art Show this past weekend. Audrey Andrist won the middle school category, along with $50 of prize money with her graphite bird drawing and Vanessa Guzman secured the high school level ribbon and $75 with her painting of Vintage Woman!

You still have time to come out and see the Spring Art Show presented by the Gladwin Area Artist Guild. It goes until 4 PM today at the BAC.. Many Beaverton student's artwork is on display.
