WHO TEACHES THE TEACHERS? Students had the day off, but teachers were hard at it Friday working on professional development, and the theme was "data." Essential to student growth is the ability to recognize what works in the classroom, what doesn't, and how to measure improvement. Data experts from Clare-Gladwin RESD were on hand to help guide the discussion, all in the efforts to make sure that when our kids walk across that stage at graduation, they're prepared for college, a career or both. #PuttingInTheWork #GoBeavers

CRUCIAL LESSONS: Beaverton Schools hosted a series of presentations today from Trooper Shane Noble of the Michigan State Police's West Branch Post. He shared important information with kids in grades five through 12 about the real-life consequences of vaping, poor decisions with cell phones and cyberbullying. We appreciate Trooper Noble spending his day with our students and sharing his experiences. #GoBeavers
