Beaverton Schools is preparing to return to school in a traditional format for the 2021-2022 year while following Centers for Disease Control and Central Michigan District Health Department data closely. Beaverton Fans: If you are planning on playing in the Football Team's Cornhole Tournament this Friday, August 13th @ 6:00 at the football field, please register at your earliest convenience by e-mailing: aaron.seiser@gmail.com with players names and team name. We can be more prepared for the event with teams registering ahead of time. Thank you for helping kick off this football season with a fun, family friendly community event!

The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) will be hosting a Michigan for Alliance Family presentation on August 3rd. The topic is "Understanding IEPs". This will assist families in understanding how the IEP components work together as well as provide time for questions to be answered. We here at Beaverton Schools are proud to be offering a summer food distribution during July and the first two weeks of August. Our food distribution will be every Wednesday. On Wednesday, we will be at the Beaverton Junior Senior High School from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and again from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. You can find us around the back where the orange cones are located. We are looking forward to being able to serve our community's children this summer. We hope to see you on Wednesday!!

We hope everyone had a safe and relaxing holiday. After the long weekend, we would like to remind everyone of the food distributions happening tomorrow. BACKPACK BUDDIES (weekend food) PROGRAM Backpack Buddies is a program through the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan which provides food for weekend nutrition to K-5 students, who have food insecurity at home. This program has been operating in Gladwin schools for eight years. In Beaverton, the program just completed its seventh year of operation. One child can be fed each week during the school year for $100.00. With your help, this program will continue in Gladwin County

Since the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, Beaverton Schools has been pursuing full time face to face(F2F) instruction. This will continue for the 2021-2022 school year. Good afternoon Beaverton, It has come to our attention that some folks are not receiving benefits for their Pandemic EBT cards. We are sorry to hear that. EBT benefits are awarded for any month that a student learned virtually. TODAY, We have confirmed that we submitted everything to the state correctly. Listed below are some FAQ's and contacts to assist everyone further. Sorry for any inconvenience. What if I received only a partial payment or no payment at all for a month? • Payment is based on how the student attended classes for the month. Parents/Guardians may submit a reconsideration form if they can verify that the amount received did not match the student’s instructional type. The P-EBT Reconsideration form is available on the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services website or contacting MDHHS through email at MDHHS-PEBT@michigan.gov. How can I check my balance or activity? • Call the EBT customer service number 888-678-8914 or navigate to this link: www.connectebt.com/miebtclient How long do I have to use my P-EBT money? • The card must be used at least once in one year or the benefits will be expunged.
