As you have likely heard, schools in Michigan have been shut down for the rest of the year by executive order of the governor. We know that our Beaverton families have a lot of questions about what we are doing and what you should do next. Please be patient as we continue to work on our plan for our students. We are trying to keep the best interests of our students in mind as we design educational opportunities for all of them. More information will be shared with you as our work is completed.
We are strong together! #GoBeavers

MHSAA Coronavirus Updates
March 24: The MHSAA has extended its suspension of activities in all sports for all seasons through Monday, April 13, to fall in line with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s school closure and “stay home, stay safe” orders to deter the spread of COVID-19.
All athletic activities to be halted include practices, scrimmages and competitions/games, as well as strength training, conditioning and any other organized sessions and activities in all MHSAA in-season and out-of-season sports.
Stay strong, Beavers!

7-12 graders: the Beaverton High School Yearbook staff needs your help! We are continuing to create a yearbook that reflects your school year and need help covering this time period! We are looking for students willing to be interviewed via phone or email for a story or personal profile in the yearbook, especially regarding these subjects:
--Spring sports (Track, baseball, softball, etc--if you've played in the past or were planning to)
--Academics (What have you learned in one of your classes this year that has impacted you?)
--COVID-19 Quarantine stories (This is a historic moment in time--how are you spending your time at home while school is closed?) NOTE: We also need school appropriate photos of you doing these activities or just chilling!
--Cool hobbies, interests, or experiences of yours from this year (they don't have to be about school)
Contact STELLA GOVITZ, the Kaleidoscope Feature Editor, with your experiences! She can be reached on social media or skgovitz@stu.beavertonruralschools.com
