Noah Coffey qualified for the State meet in 3 events, winning the 100, 400, and the long jump. He also took 5th place in the high jump. Taylor McCormack also qualified for state in the long jump, placing 2nd. She also took 8th in the 100 and 200. William Warner was 7th in the pole vault. Tessa Wohlschlegel was 7th in the 1600 and 6th in the 3200. Celina Demirdal was 7th in the long jump. And the girls 4x400 relay of McCormack, Karley Fischer, Demirdal and Faith Danielak were 4th! Senior Graduation Announcements and Reminders: Seniors, don’t forget, exams for 5th, 6th & 7th hours are on Monday, May 23rd. Exams for hours 1, 2 & 3 are on Tuesday, May 24th. Seniors are released at 11:35am. Graduation practice is Wednesday, May 25th, @ 12:30pm. Every student walking must attend graduation practice and be on time. Make sure to wear your cap and gown to practice. We will be walking through the elementary school after practice. Wednesday evening @ 6pm is baccalaureate and at 7pm is honors night. Both events are open to everyone to attend. Thursday night at 7pm is graduation. Students must meet in the cafeteria no later than 6:30pm for line up. Lastly, I would like to announce that the school does not allow any type of senior camp out, senior pranks, senior barbeque or other associated activities that are not school sponsored.. Students who participate in any disruptive or destructive activities run the risk of not walking at graduation.

The evening was capped off by a performance of past students and music directors from around the area celebrating Mrs. Kintner's 38 yrs of teaching and up coming retirement. CTE's best and brightest were on full display in this year's CTE Student Excellence Awards at an event held in the Construction Trades lab. Students were recognized in such categories as Most Improved, Above & Beyond and Outstanding Student. New inductees to the National Technical Honor Society were also applauded. Congratulations to Kamron Lee, Ethan Fox, Kadence Nickel, Dominick Cornell, Ariana Humphries, Jenna Armstrong, Haley Powell and Colby Christian. The 8th grade science classes enjoyed a visit from Ahmad Bajjey, chief meteorologist from NBC 25. It was a great way to end our unit on weather and hear first hand how weather is predicted from someone who does it for a living. Students watched, listened and asked questions as Ahmad shared his love for weather!

The track team was at Meridian on Friday night for the Nite Trax Invitational. Medal winners were: Noah Coffey 2nd in the 100, 1st in the 400, 1st in long jump and 2nd in high jump. Noah also won the field event MVP for the meet. Tessa Wohlshlegel was 2nd in the 1600 and 1st in the 3200. Way to go!

It's Back! BJSHS Prom 2022 was a great success. Student's enjoyed live dinner music and then danced the night away with the DJ. Pau Chesa was crowned King and Alejandra Martinez was crowned queen. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a fabulous event that the students will remember for a lifetime.
