Calling all technology loving girls in grades 5th-12th grade to come join us at SVSU for Camp Infinity in July! Camp Infinity is a week-long technology camp for girls who want to learn more about app inventing, robotics, ALICE, and many more technology based topics. Lunch is included each day and registration is $100 (scholarships are available). Please email questions to bldiegel@svsu.edu.

Noah placed 2 nd in the long jump, 3 rd in the 100 and 4 th in the 400. At State Finals at Kent
City on Saturday.

Beaverton Varsity Baseball team beat Houghton Lake in district finals today 9 to 3. They will play regionals in Standish this coming Wednesday.
Congratulations to the baseball team for beating Houghton Lake 9-3 in the District Championship! GO RED!
What a day at the State Final Track Meet! Taylor McCormack finished 16th in the long jump with 14'7.5". Noah Coffey had an AMAZING day! He finished 3rd in the 100m with 11.28, 2nd in the long jump with a huge PR of 22' 0.50" , and 4th in the 400m with another PR of :50.68! Noah's performances totaled 19 team points for Beaverton and he earned All-State in all 3 events. Way to go, Noah!!
Beaverton Varsity Baseball team advanced to district finals By beating Farwell 5 to 0 in 7 innings. They will play the winner of Roscommon and Houghton Lake.
Beaverton JrSr HS students had a great afternoon today playing backyard games against the staff. The staff won, of course. 😀
Congratulations to the Beaverton Beavers Varsity Softball team. They defeated Clare in district finals tonight. The Beavers fought back from an 8 to 3 deficit to win it in extra innings 9 to 8.

We wish the best to Noah Coffey and Taylor McCormack in tomorrow's MHSAA State Final Track Meet in Kent City. Students are creating a tunnel in school to send them off and Officer Cingano and Doyle are providing a police escort out of town at 1:45 today. GO RED!

1. Mackinac Island Field Trip. We are leaving this Saturday promptly at 6:30 am. Being 10
minutes early is the best. We are not waiting for late arrivals. Drop off at the front of the
school building. Bus lists are posted in front of Ms. Coughlin's room. The weather is
looking like high 50's, so dress appropriately, and wear comfortable shoes for walking.
Don't forget money for lunch and dinner and any souvenirs you would like to purchase.
We should be back to the school for pick up at 9:00 pm.

9. Attention Football Players grades 7th-11th: Summer Weight Room Hours begin on
Sunday, June 5th. Lifting will begin at 6pm and conclude at 7pm. Bring appropriate shoes
for indoor workouts. You may also bring cleats for outdoor activities.

MS Track MegaStart Meet @ Shepherd, meet starts 2:45 pm. Good luck to the following MS
track athletes competing in the MegaStart Meet today: Landon Love, Shaun McWilliams, Layla
Stewart, Myah Hubble, Trinity Danielak, and Gracie Flansburgh.
Events Results: A few members of the track team competed at the Northern Michigan Meet of
Champions at Gaylord last night. Top finishers for the Beavers were: Noah Coffey - 1st in the
high jump and 400, 2nd in the 100 and long jump. William Warner - 4th in the pole vault. and
Tessa Wohlschlegel - 2nd in the 3200 and 5th in the 1600.
Varisty Softball won 10-0 against Harrison.

Anatomy and physiology students finished up the year with an examination of the fetal pig. These students have worked very hard all year and have learned so much about how all of the organ systems work together in complex and amazing ways. I am very proud of these students and their dedication to such a tough course!
