PLAN TO SUCCEED: With parent-teacher conferences set for next Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. at both buildings, we’re advising visitors of revised teacher availability to make the discussions as effective as possible. At BES, conferences for grades K-3 will be held in students’ respective classrooms at scheduled times. For grades 4-6, all teachers will gather in the gym for open house style meetings. At BJSHS, all teachers will confer with parents in their classrooms. All meetings for grades 4-12 will be held on a first-come, first-served basis. We greatly look forward to seeing you. #GoBeavers

Dear Beaverton Schools family: TOMORROW, Nov. 7, Beaverton Schools is on the ballot. The proposal does not represent a new tax, but rather the renewal of the district’s existing operational millage. The millage does not apply to taxpayers who live in their primary residence, and passage won’t cost you a dime more than you already pay. This non-homestead operating millage is a standard renewal that every public school district in the state must request every few years. SAGE ADVICE: Last week, BJSHS seniors in the JMG group arranged to have several local professionals visit for a session covering important interview tips for jobs and scholarships. The experts shared their best counsel and the students asked A LOT of questions.
